Rules: NSR

Cars must remain standard apart from the following allowable changes:

  • Chassis
    • Any grade of NSR chassis is permitted, which must match the body it’s fitted to.
      • Soft – blue
      • Medium – black
      • Hard – white
      • Extra-hard – green
      • Extra-light – yellow
  • Gears
    • Pinion – Can be any from the NSR-71xx range.
    • Spur – Can be any from the NSR-65xx range.
  • Guide
    • Any NSR guide may be used.
    • Spacers may be used to set guide depth.
  • Motor – Must be one of the following:
    • NSR 3017 – King 21 Evo with orange wrapper, 21400 rpm, 322g-cm.
    • NSR 3023 – King 21 Evo/3 with purple wrapper, 21400 rpm, 350g-cm.
    • Scaleauto SC-0026b – Endurance, 22500rpm, 340g-cm.
  • Motor mount
    • A small amount of material may be removed from the motor cradle to help avoid stress fractures when installing a motor.
  • Track
    • Rear – Overall width across rear wheels and tyres must not exceed 64mm.
    • Front and Rear – Wheels and tyres must not exceed the limits of the body when viewed from above when either axle is moved to its extreme left or right positions.
  • Tyres
    • Front – Free choice, but must be black rubber. May be varnished and/or glazed.
    • Rear – Must be NSR black rubber.
      • The NSR marking must be visible on at least one sidewall of each rear tyre.
    • Tyre inserts of any type are not permitted.
  • Weight
    • Additional ballast can be added to the chassis only.
    • Must be securely fixed to the chassis and must fit within the confines of the body when the body is fitted.
  • Wheels
    • Front – Can be replaced with
      • NSR 5001 – Ø16 x 8mm solid rib.
    • Rear – Can be replaced with
      • any NSR Ø16mm, Ø16.5mm or Ø17mm wheel.
  • Wheel inserts
    • May be removed.
  • Sundries
    • All other components are free choice – e.g. braids, wires, screws, spacers, glues and lubricants.

The following points are mandatory:

  • Traction magnets must be removed.
  • Tyre inserts of any type are not permitted.
  • White kit bodyshells must be fully painted.

If it is not listed above, it is not allowed.

    • ‘Home’ range chassis are not allowed.
  • Gears
    • Anglewinder configuration
      • Pinion – Can be Scaleauto or Slot.it 11, 12, 13 or 14T.
      • Spur – Can be Scaleauto or Slot.it with free choice of tooth number.
    • Inline configuration for Mercedes SLS only
      • Pinion – Can be Scaleauto or Slot.it 8, 9 or 10T.
      • Crown – Can be Scaleauto with free choice of tooth number.
  • Guide – Any Scaleauto guide listed below can be used:
    • Race profile blade
      • 1603 – 8.3mm blade, adjustable Ø3.75mm stem.
      • 1604 – 7.0mm blade, adjustable Ø3.75mm stem.
      • 1605 – 7.0mm blade, clip-in short stem.
      • 1606 – 7.0mm blade, clip-in long stem.
      • 1607 – 8.3mm blade, adjustable Ø3.4mm stem.
      • 1608 – 7.0mm blade, adjustable Ø3.4mm stem.
    • Home profile blade
      • 1620 – 7.0mm blade, clip-in short stem.
      • 1621 – 7.0mm blade, clip-in long stem.
    • Spacers may be used to set guide depth.
  • Motor – Must be one of the following:
    • Scaleauto SC-0011b – Tech-1, 20000 rpm, 286g-cm.
    • Scaleauto SC-0025 – Sprinter, 21500 rpm, 300g-cm.
    • Scaleauto SC-0025b – Sprinter 2, 21500 rpm, 320g-cm.
    • Scaleauto SC-0026b – Endurance, 22500rpm, 340g-cm.
  • Motor mount
    • Must be Scaleauto anglewinder configuration (or inline option for Mercedes SLS only) as fitted to RTR series models.
    • Any offset allowed.
    • Lateral arms must not be fitted.
    • A small amount of material may be removed from the motor cradle to help avoid stress fractures when installing a motor.
  • Track
    • Rear – Overall width across rear wheels and tyres must not exceed 64mm.

  • Weight
