06/02/20: Slot.it Group C – Group C’s Last Stand?

Group C’s last stand?

Is shiny and new always an improvement? Well, with NSR F1 soon to replace Slot.it Group C, NSR better hope so, because Group C isn’t giving up easily. Once again it gave us a fantastic show of close racing, with side-by-side battles throughout the field right up to the last lap of the final heat.

The evening ended with Julian on the podium’s top step, but he didn’t have it easy, being pushed all the way by Lee and Josh, with David and guest Will in the mix too.

Josh, not content with hoovering up all the lane records, now seems to have his eye on a new “constructors” championship too, providing cars for himself, Terry and Will, a BSCRA regular having a night out at Molesey. They started well, but the three-pronged attack slowly fell to pieces, each of them spoiling their night with too many crashes.

The “most relaxed driver” prize went to Neil. His usual race prep is rarely more than a cup of tea and half a dozen practice laps, but he excelled himself this week by lining up for his first heat driving a GT3 Viper, apparently oblivious to the grid of Group C cars either side of him. Tragic!
