Scaleauto Hypercar

A class for current and forthcoming Hypercar models produced by Scaleauto, with the emphasis on keeping major elements of the car standard, but with a few upgrades to optimise performance on Molesey’s unique track surface.

- BMW M Hybrid V8
- Cadillac V-Series.R
- Peugeot 9X8
- Porsche 963
Future releases will be assessed by the committee before being included.
Technical regulations by component.
- Body – Must remain standard with the exception of kit bodies supplied unpainted by the manufacturer which must be fully painted but otherwise unmodified. Lightweight interiors not permitted.
- Chassis – Standard issue grey chassis only.
- Motor – Standard issue Scaleauto SC-0029 Sprinter Junior 2 only.
- Motor mount – Any of the following are permitted:
- SC-6529a
- SC-6529aHD (recommended)
- SC-6529b (standard fitment)
- SC-6531
- SC-6531HD
- Motor mount can be attached to the chassis using any of the mounting points provided.
- Minimum two front and two rear is recommended.
- Pinion – Any 7mm or 7.5mm, 13 tooth pinion is permitted. Scaleauto or Slot.it are recommended.
- Spur gear – Any of the following 16.5mm-diameter gold-insert Scaleauto “sidewinder” gears are permitted.
- SC-1160R – 29-tooth blue (standard)
- SC-1161R – 30-tooth red
- SC-1162R – 31-tooth grey
- Be aware that some early white kits were fitted with a 31-tooth grey/white “anglewinder” spur gear, so an additional purchase of a correct gear will be needed to comply with the rules.
- Suspension – Suspension is fitted as standard but can be removed if desired. If suspension is used, it can only be used in its standard form and only in the rear mounts.
- Wheels – Any wheels from any manufacturer are permitted front and rear, but these must have a minimum diameter of 15.8mm and a maximum width of 10mm. Air-hubs can be fitted with sponge inserts. Cosmetic wheel inserts are not mandatory and can be omitted.
- Rear Tyres – Any NSR, BRM/PCS, Scaleauto or Slot.it rubber tyres are permitted. No sponge or silicone tyres are allowed. Rear tyres can be glued and trued.
- Front/Rear Track – Maximum overall width for both front and rear track is 65mm.
- Weight/Ballast – Additional weight can be added, but must be securely attached to the inside of the chassis and/or motor mount only.
- Free choice items – Axles, guide, screws, spacers, stoppers, bearings, braid, lead wire, eyelets, front tyres. Front tyres can be glued/trued/glazed.
