The Dominator.
Sideways Group 5 again this week, and although the racing wasn’t close at the front, there was better racing lower down the order.
Julian was utterly dominant at the head of the race, finishing a whopping five laps ahead of second-placed Lee, but star of the show was Graham’s bright red Nissan Skyline, which spent the evening entertaining everyone by repeatedly trying to destroy itself in crashes. That it survived to the finish was pretty amazing, but that it finished in a respectable fifth place was nothing short of a miracle.
2nd to 7th places provided the closest racing, with Lee, Ed, David, Graham, Neil and Phil finishing in a different order in every heat.
It’s NSR Formula 86/89 for the next two weeks, and a last chance for everyone to fettle their cars ahead of the official NSR British Grand Prix which takes place at Molesey on the 27th March. Should be good.
