Amnesia.
Better late than never, the race report for the final race of 2022 has landed. Sadly, because your correspondent entered into the end-of-year period of debauchery and hedonism with what’s politely described as a little too much enthusiasm, he can remember bugger-all about the race, so the report is a little sparse.
By way of compensation he’s borrowed his grandchildren’s colouring pens and created a few brightly coloured graphs for you to look at. If you like stats, you might be pleased. If you don’t, then, er, tough. Beggars can’t be choosers, as his dad used to say.
Anyway, the stats and stuff will follow in the next post, but first the race report. Lee won. Vince didn’t. Josh appeared to lose interest after lap one. Ed was second, then he wasn’t. Simon wasn’t second, then he was. That’s the podium sorted, so if you’re really keen to know what else happened, ask Julian, because he spent the night happily spectating and picking cars up from the floor, so it must have been an interesting race.
Your correspondent will try harder to pay attention next year. Until then, thank you to everyone who raced at Molesey during 2022 and contributed to the enjoyment, the banter, the disagreements, humour and everything else that makes the club as much fun as it is. If you only make one New Year’s resolution, make it that you’ll continue to support the club in 2023. Here’s to another great year of racing.
