Farewell, Pink Pig.

Eight drivers braved this week’s Sideways Group 5 round, with Julian taking an easy win in his Pink Pig and then declaring that the car was to be retired from competition and replaced by a new one he’s currently building. Given that he wasn’t beaten in any Group 5 race he contested in 2022, and only lost once in 2021, everyone else will need to up their game considerably if they hope to stand on the top step of the podium this year.

Although the racing at the front wasn’t very close, elsewhere things were much tighter, Terry, Neil and Graham entertaining the onlookers with plenty of side-by-side action, with the Tomster getting in on the act at times too to make it a foursome. Sadly for Tom his consistency has yet to match that of his fellow competitors and he lost out by crashing too often, but he’s getting there slowly.
