Calibra Army.

Seven rounds in to the 2024 Slot.it DTM championship and Opel’s Calibra is now the dominant car, filling eight of the nine-car grid at this week’s race. Alone amongst the Calibras was Julian, who’d opted to stick with the Mercedes C-Class that he’d driven to victory in his last two outings. This time though, it was Lee’s Calibra that took the honours after a very close and hard-fought battle with Julian.

Julian started well, crossing the line at the end of heat 1 a tiny 0.12 seconds ahead of Lee, but that was as good as it was going to get for Mercedes. Lee and his Calibra won the remaining five heats by similarly small margins – 0.42, 0.75, 1.34, 0.97 and 0.76 – to take the win.

Will Julian still be in a Mercedes next week, or will he have joined the Calibra army? Let’s wait and see.
